Congratulations on taking this step towards lasting change! To have landed right here, right now, part of you is ready to do what's necessary to heal your past. Together, we'll create the safety necessary to move through pain and into the freedom for you to take charge of your life. My style is compassionate & collaborative. I'm also a strong Ally, and work well with diverse adults to move from surviving into thriving. I've also worked extensively with helping professionals: counselors, MDs, PAs, nurses, OT/PT/STs, LMTs and absolutely love it! Mentoring MSWs is also a mission of mine, and I offer licensure and billing supervision and business consulting. My passion definitely lies in helping others access and develop their best, healthiest selves!

Therapy is not one-size-fits-all, and your story deserves to be honored at your pace. As a survivor of domestic violence and child abuse, I understand firsthand what it feels like to navigate through trauma and fear. As a spouse and parent to four sons, life has also shown me the true meaning of healing, thriving, and joy. These experiences shape the way I connect with clients—with compassion, authenticity, and deep respect for your courage to seek support.

Everyone struggles with something; it is part of the human experience. Every client comes from different backgrounds, has different needs and has different ways they respond to events. Knowing this, my goal is to meet you where you are at, making an effort to deeply understand where you are coming from. It can be scary to reach out and be vulnerable; be proud of yourself for taking this step!

    Kiera Langlois Social Media Manager

Hi! I'm Kiera (she/her), and I'm the social media manager at MIPCS! I manage our social media, update our website, and take care of anything related to marketing. As a Gen Z-er, I am intrigued by everything social media-related, so I was pleased to have this opportunity to learn more about the business aspect of it. Working with excellent therapists was an added bonus, as was getting to explore my creative side! Mental health has always been an important subject in my life, and being able to create posts that raise awareness and hopefully eliminate the stigma surrounding it has been a wonderful privilege!

A bit about myself: I enjoy watching a good TV show, curling up with a good book, or spending time with the people I love. When the weather permits, I enjoy going to the beach, taking walks, and basking in the sun!

    Emily Sluiter Administrative Assistant

Hello! I’m Emily (she/her), the Administrative Assistant at MI Professional Counseling Services. I’ll likely be the person you talk to when you first contact our practice, and my goal is to make getting you connected with the right therapist as comfortable and efficient as possible. I can verify your insurance benefits prior to starting therapy so you know ahead of time what your out-of-pocket costs may be.  I’m also available to answer questions about paperwork, billing, or other “behind the scenes” things at any time so you can focus on what’s important to you during your therapy sessions.  Overall, my goal is to make seeking therapy as stress-free for you as I can.

I’m a licensed therapist, although I am not currently seeing clients. In my free time, I enjoy taking care of my many houseplants, cooking, and volunteering with a community art organization.
