Congratulations
on taking this step towards making lasting change! To have landed right
here, right now, part of you is ready to do what's necessary to heal
your past and your life. Together, we'll create the safety necessary to move
through pain and into the freedom to take charge of your
life.
My style is compassionate & collaborative. I have a deep respect for my clients and their lives, and I acknowledge their strengths and resiliency. I'm also a strong Ally, and work well with diverse adults to move from surviving into thriving. I've experienced both surviving and thriving and am passionate about helping others get out of their fight or flight states.
My own personal counseling journey began in 1989. I've experienced deep healing and became driven to help others increase self-worth and vitality. My focus areas are early life trauma (CPTSD), grief, anxiety, life adjustments, chronic pain/illnesses, health anxiety, professional development, burnout/compassion fatigue, and imposter syndrome.
After my own counselor utilized Brainspotting with me (with great success), I quickly signed up for the training and completed it in October of 2020. I personally have experience with chronic pain, neurodiversity, divorce, single-parenting, entrepreneurship, mid-life changes, and other challenges of daily life.
I'm well versed at helping others to heal the effects of childhood trauma, neglect, and abuse, including adult children of alcoholics and emotionally immature parents. I utilize Brainspotting, mindfulness, CBT, motivational interviewing, and other mind/body techniques to help with healing fully. Being dedicated to being a life-long learner, I am currently working through trainings for Internal Family Systems, Polyvagal Theory, and neuroplasticity.
I have also worked extensively with helping professionals: counselors, MDs, PAs, nurses, OT/PT/STs, LMTs and absolutely love it! Mentoring MSWs is also a mission of mine, and I offer licensure and billing supervision and business consulting. One of my passions definitely lies in helping others access and develop their best, healthiest selves!
I imagine you want to stop talking in circles and start making progress. If so, we will integrate counseling, brain science, body awareness, mindfulness, coaching, parts work, motivation hacks, and healthier thoughts and behaviors to lead to significant progress and true healing. We will work together, using well-proven techniques, to integrate disparate selves into a healthier, authentic and whole self. If this sounds like a good fit for you, please reach out either through the “contact me” page or my Psychology Today profile.
Insurances I take: Aetna, ASR, Blue Care Network, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cofinity, Meritain, Optum Behavioral Health, Priority Health (PPO & HMO), United Healthcare / Optum, UMR. In process with Molina.
Due to working virtually only, I'm unable to take Medicare plans as they now require a first and annual in person session.
